Elf lady colors/Elfa em cores

So here it is, the elf lady in colors. I wanted to go full paint, but time is short! Which is not a bad thing, considering what is keeping me busy :) News on that later!

Technology is cool, isn't it? There are some great new gadgets for blogs available. And you don't need to have a clue about html and that stuff - you choose colors, sizes, etc and generate a code - then copy/paste it! I included here a rating system for the pages of my blog, and the Google Friend connect. Seems like my grade system got obsolete!

So all of you coming here, please test out the new ratings system. It works for the current page you are in, including the main page - which would be a general rating to the blog. The rating/comment form is located to the right, just below the banner. By the way, If you want to rate older posts that would rock! :)

Então aqui está, a elfa em cores. Eu queria fazer estilo pintura, mas o tempo tá curto! O que não é uma coisa ruim, considerando o que está me deixando ocupado :) Notícias a respeito depois!

Tecnologia é bacana, não é mesmo? Tem alguns novos gadgets bem legais disponíveis para blogs. Então todos vocês que vem aqui, por favor testem o novo sistema de notas. Ele funciona para a página em que você está, incluindo a página principal - que seria uma nota geral pro blog. O formulário para nota/resenha fica na direita, logo abaixo do banner. Aliás, se você quiser dar notas para posts antigos seria bacana! :)

Elf Lady/Elfa

This is a pencil study for a digital painting I'm planning to do soon. I wanted to keep it somewhat simple and non full body to practice with my new tablet. Since its carnival time I let the elf lady really comfortable :)

Este é um estudo à lápis para uma pintura digital que planejo fazer daqui a pouco. Eu queria manter a arte de certa forma simples e sem ser de corpo inteiro, para praticar com meu novo tablet. Como é época de carnaval, deixei a elfa bem à vontade :)

Balrog vs. Angel/Balrog vs. Anjo

I did this for a Mod of the game Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic. I Included here the pencil sketch, the refined lines made in Photoshop, the gray tones, and the final piece in colors! Please note that the background is of the actual game, I did not paint it - that's why its different. Maybe I will redo it from scratch so its more similar to the rest! Maybe. I wish I could say this was done quickly, maybe even a speed paint thing... But it hurt and it took days... I'm still trying to figure a lot of stuff out! Words of encouragement will be appreciated. But I'll take hard critiques as well :)

Edited in Monday, 16/02/09: I posted this in such a hurry, I forgot something important: my blog has reached 1,000 + visits! I tend to get at least twenty or so weekly visits, and that means twenty people are taking some time of their day to check out my attempts at being an artist here. Eu fiz este trabalho para um Mod do jogo Age of Wonder: Shadow Magic. Eu incluí aqui o esboço à lápis, as linhas mais refinadas feitas no Photoshop, os tons de cinza, e o final em cores! Por favor note que o fundo é do jogo mesmo, eu não pintei ele - por isso é tão diferente. Talvez eu o refaça inteiramente para ficar mais similar com o resto! Talvez. Quem dera eu pudesse dizer que fiz rapidinho, até mesmo um 'speed paint'... Mas foi foda e demorou dias... Eu ainda estou tentando entender um monte de coisas. Palavras de encorajamento vão ser bem vindas. Mas eu aceitare críticas duras também :)

Editado Segunda, 16/02/09: Eu postei isso aqui em uma carreria, e esqueci um detalhe importante: meu blog atingiu 1,000 + visitas! Eu costumo ter mais ou menos vinte visitas por semana, e isso significa que vinte pessoas estão titando uma parte do dia delas para dar uma olhada nas minhas tentativas em ser um artista aqui. Muito obrigado por isso e continue voltando! :) E chame seus amigos :P

Gem Warrior/Guerreira das Jóias

Another one from the sketchbook - only this is from last year's one, and completed these days. The sword and the right leg end up cropped in the A4 format, so I drew them on other pages and mounted all together in the computer. I did the same with the Elves against the four armed warrior/Elfos contra o guerreiro de quatro braços. Despite some flaws I think its a good sketch that could be further refined and colored to make a nice piece.

Oh and if anyone is reading this please comment/rate the last post - Ultimate Fantastic Four/Quarteto Fantástico Millenium - it has no comments or ratings yet! I'm afraid of blogs that have posts with no comments, especially if its mine! ;)

Mais um do caderno de esboços - só que este é do caderno do ano passado, e completado esses dias. A espada e a perna direita ficaram cortados por causa do formato A4, então eu desenhei em outras página e montei tudo junto no computador. Eu fiz o mesmo com o Elves against the four armed warrior/Elfos contra o guerreiro de quatro braços. Apesar de algumas falhas eu acho que é um bom esboço e que pode ser mais trabalhado e colorido para resultar em um bom trabalho.

Ah e se alguém estiver lendo isso por favor comente/dê nota para o último post - Ultimate Fantastic Four/Quarteto Fantástico Millenium - pois ele não tem comentários ou notas ainda! Eu tenho medo de blogs com posts sem comentários, especialmente se for o meu! ;)
